About Carla
Carla has been a Registered Nurse for the past fourteen years, working mainly in primary health and predominantly maori communities.
Carla is of Ngapuhi descent, was born and raised in Kaikohe, Northland.
Carla has resided in the Bay of Plenty for over thirty years.
During Carla's nursing career she has worked in a number of fields including:
Paediactrics, Tamariki Ora, Diabetes, Asthma, Triage Nursing, Surgical Nursing, General Medicine, Sexual Health, Rehabilitation, Detention Centres in Australia.
Carla's knowledge and expertise working with western medicine, has given her the base and incentive to now embark on this new journey of Rongoa, and to embrace her Maori Heritage.
